How does Peerium Voice Chat operate without servers?

With PVC, there are no servers to configure, maintain, or pay for. Each PVC client communicates directly with other clients without the need for a centralized server. This direct communication is more efficient, more secure, and much easier to manage: just start up PVC, find your friends, and go. There is no need for a server administrator, and no need to pay for hosting services.

PVC is able to operate without servers because it is built on top of Peerium's peer-to-peer technologies. The Peerium platform provides PVC with a robust way to find other users, make direct connections and secure all communications between users—without the need for large server infrastructure.

No server infrastructure means it is cheap for us, which means it is cheap for you. In fact, the basic version of PVC is completely free. Users can create or join as many different voice chats as they want. You can manage your contact list and join in their voice chats, or start up a new voice chat of your own with your contacts or other players you meet on-line: its unlimited and all for free.
